Besides, this ideal geographic position, the vines grow on a pure clay stain which gives the cabernet franc all its grandeur in a mystic, deep and fascinating nose. A velvety texture with classic tannins and a never-ending finish in mouth make La Rougerie feel the king in Pallus.<\/p>\n<p>La Rougerie has become the <em>grand cru<\/em> in Domaine de Pallus and the whole appellation in Chinon thanks to a close observation of both the vine and the terroir and a required action from Bertrand Sourdais.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Wine Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vineyard: Cravant les Coteaux<br \/>\nGrape variety: Cabernet franc<br \/>\nPlot of land: Half hectare planted in two stages in 1952 and 2007. The first half plot planted in 1952 is made up a selection of a unique cabernet franc (5000 vines per hectare).
